Funky decor inside Lotus, St. Thomas

We have no shortage of sushi places on Saint Thomas even though our island is only 13 miles long. (we have 4 of them). Some better than others but mostly they all have their good points. We were going to go to the new Enkai in Frenchtown however it was a good thing that someone overheard us talking at the gym and informed me that they were closed until Sept 17th so we decided to go to a place called Lotus on the East End instead.

We got their early, had wine and their famous and yummy edamame with chili oil and sea salt. I could eat 5 bowl of that stuff just myself (though my stomach wouldn't feel so good afterwards I am sure). Our friends were great company and we love eating with people that will try anything and everything. We ordered a ton of rolls and more wine and were rolling out of there (no pun intended) 2 hours later.

The only issue I had with Lotus is that after we had done our initial order, we ordered 1 more roll that took 40 minutes to get to us. We had run out of wine and it was annoying that it took so long. Bad timing and this has happened to us before there. The food is so good however that you just put up with it. The funny thing is, they aren't busy when this happens or so it seems. Who knows what the issue was but it was still good. Of course, we will still go back and next time just order more food than we want right at the start (maybe that is their ploy?)
