This lettuce is a bit too big for my mouth (right then 2 more came over to help him eat it!)

"hey lady, throw us another lemon wedge!" taken thru the window at Hook, Line and Sinker in Frenchtown

One of our favorite resturants on the island is this little boaty place called Hook, Line and Sinker in Frenchtown in Saint Thomas. It's a very casual place with a great view of the harbor, boats and the sea planes landing and taking off. They have big french windows which they leave open and a nice seaside breeze is always blowing.

We went to lunch there today and they didn't disappoint as usual. I had the turkey and veggie soup (yup, I eat HOT soup in the 95 degree heat). Someone one told me that if you eat hot soup, it cools you off. It doesn't work for me however but I do love soup, especially HL and S's soup. They also have great specials on their board right over the bar but usually they are big meals so I don't get them.

Each day, the iquanas that live around the dock, get fed lettuce from the resturant crew and it was fun to watch them today munching on the big pieces of lettuce. At one point, all 3 of them were sharing the same piece of lettuce (but my camera wasn't fast enough to capture it, darn it!).

I happened to be sitting by a window close to them so I threw out my lemon wedge off my water glass and then another man actually walked out with his cold slaw and put it down for them to eat. That was a little extreme but it made for good pictures, especially with them all running to see who could get to the cold slaw first. I wonder if the chef minds that the iquanas are the ones that were eating his coldslaw vs. the guests? At least I ate my lunch and only threw out my lemon wedge.
