We headed out for our walk around the neighborhood this morning with dark skies so we (thank goodness) took our big umbrellas just in case. it was a good thing because on the way back we got caught in a heavy downpour and had black skies all around us.
Storm Erika is still over us dumping 2-3 inches of pretty steady rain today and all day. Looking at the weather satellite it seems as if Puerto Rico is getting hammered by heavy thundershowers and only 8 inches of rain (the weather channel said). It's been mostly snotty all weekend so i am sure the tourist are not liking this one bit. At least it keeps the island green and the weather cooler for the locals though. Hopefully tomorrow it will clear up and be sunny. This will mean, of course, that the weeds will be growing like crazy. thank goodness for the landscaper this time of year.
