Kenny Chesney in the islands 9/28/09

Living here in Saint Thomas almost 5 years now, it's amazing that I have not met Kenny Chesney yet. He owns 4 homes in Saint John AND is always over in Saint Thomas because he keeps his boat at American Yacht Harbor ("Soul Shine" is the name of his boat (A big Sea Ray)). He use to own a boat called "In Limbo" too. My friend Amanda had the pleasure of running into Kenny at Marina Market this week while he was stocking his boat for a trip to the British Virgin Islands. Just my luck I missed him!
The thing is that he doesn't wear a cowboy hat while he is here but a flipped back baseball cap and looks unassuming all the time so people really don't know it's him (unless, like me, they know what they are looking for!).
Amanda was invited to a party by Kenny's friend if they got back from the BVI's early enough but he texted to say that they didn't so maybe next time he is down in the islands. He flew out yesterday to go back on tour.
Even though I have seen him on his boat, close to mine this year, when we were boating in Cinnamon Bay but it's not the same.
Hope you come back to the island soon Kenny!
