I seems like it is always baby time here on the island. We have been seeing baby hummingbirds and baby banaquits but just recently, we have seen a baby "pearl eyed" thrasher hanging around the bird feeders and water source. I am so used to seeing the little tiny birds that when the baby thrasher arrived it seemed so big. It doesn't drink out of the hummingbird feeders or even try but just likes to drink water out of the pyrex bird bath. The smaller birds bath in there but when the big baby is drinking they seem to know to not mess with the bigger baby bird.

The thrashers tail is so long and his/her legs are so tall and skinny, it is fun to watch them move around and get their footing. With the bananquits bathing in the shallow dish and now the other bird drinking it, It seems like I am filling up the pie dish all day long but I don't mind because I love to watch them.

It seems as if we are going to get some nice rain today. Yippy! I love overcast skies.
